Vanilla, spices and carribean fruits. A easy drink on a summers evening
Lovely spiced rum that has a mixture of notes. For the price I would highly recommend especially for the bottle design. Can be drank neat over ice or with a mixer.
A friend from Salford introduced me to this rum. Of course he thinks it's the best thing sinced slice bread so I tasted it expecting it to be another basic rum in a fancy bottle. However, upon trying it I found that it's quite different from other rums I've tried. It's more mature and aromatic on the pallet which I quite enjoyed. If you like your sweeter, citrus rums, this one is not for you. However of you want a different experience I would recognize it.
It's inexpensive and inoffensive. Just not something to write home about
Dark lush colour. Sweet, aniseed, nutmeg, cocoa and molasses aroma. All promise something that the taste can't quite reach. The taste is smooth, sweet, but not overly so. A subtle fleeting hint of that nutmeg and cocoa, but it's gone as soon as it's there leaving just a little bit of dryness behind. Good for big gulps on ice, but doubt it will be able to stand it's ground mixed.
Got a dram of this in the advent calendar. A little dark for me but nicely spiced.
On the nose there is orange zest, Oreos, chocolate, brown sugar and toffee. Brownies, maple syrup and warm spices.
On the palate there is chocolate milk, cloves, cinnamon and caramel. Angelica root, cacao nibs, liquorice and vanilla. Finish is short to medium with some spicy charred wood and toffee.
Not a bad spiced rum, but not my favourite.
Such a shame that this bottle hides a perfume-tasting rum that is honestly not very enjoyable at all. I can't understand the 7 ratings, perhaps they're stockholders...
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

First impression was Ok - tasty enough, interesting. But after several sips the taste disassembled to Vanilla-only
