Had a test of the 3yo, 4yo & the 5yo Montebello this evening with my son.
We both thought the 3yo and the 5yo beats the 4yo.
The 5yo is vintage 2009 and I don’t think Montebello had produced any 5yo rhum since then.
The nose is quite weak even after warmed up, but it’s extremely smooth for a just 5yo rhum. It’s cane, fruits smoothness and som pepper that dominates and even so on the palate and during the end which is medium long.
I don’t think I have tasted such a smooth Agricole just 5yo.
And besides that an unbeatable label which is a jewelry for any rum bar.
