Thanks to Joola69 for sharing this with me as part of a rare rum tasting (he and I are the only ones to have reviewed this as I write this).
Smells and tastes of molasses, leather, spice, tobacco, oak and cacao. A bit hot at 57%, but this enhances the flavors.

Rum tasting during the global lockdown continued with S.B.S. 2007 Dominican Republic. Limited to 306 bottles. Very nice sturdy bottle design. Unique label design. Dark and deep brown color. Smooth chocolate and mild liquorice mixed very nicely with deep Dominican Republic rum flavors. Hot at 114 Proof, but this even elevates the amazing flavor profile. This rum goes straight to my Top 10 list after well over 2,500 rums later. Spectacular rum in every sense.

Fills your mouth with a very warm and full-bodied sensation, the high alcohol content really boosts all the flavours. Quite sweet with some oak and chocolate notes. Very smooth considering the ABV of 57%, but still a bit too strong burn compared to Esclavo XO Cask (similar palate but 65%) to deserve a 10
