Easily consumable in a bind
I enjoyed this one. The nose was nice, with maybe some vanilla. Pleasant straight and had similar flavors, with a bit of an afterburn. No issues mixed. The Don Quixote medallion was bonus. 5.5 on my scale.
Don Q usually releases some pretty interesting Limited Editions, so when I saw this one going for only $35 US, I figured why not. This one is like most of their better ones, but with more subdued flavors. This won't offend anyone, nor will it make one rave about it.
Rum tasting in Dallas Texas continues onwards with Don Q Seleccion Especial. Nice bottle and label design. Light golden color. Plenty of oak to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Short burn at the end. Expensive mixer rum in my books.
