Pour qui aime le goût du pruneau : Un Délice d'une grande douceur
Had the pleasure to enjoy the 1998 vintage at Lime House Caribbean.
Not to be missed!
Very complex, delicious rum. A lot of fruits and spice.
I like this rum, nice bottle, excellent present to offer
Vraiment un très bon rhum de haute qualité comme souvent chez la favorite
For people who like the taste of cask, it's a real great Rhum. Very heavy and long.
Sweet caramel nose filled with raspberry and citrus. Initial burst of incredible flavour, fruity continues, slight cashew, woodsy. Lower spice and no tangy or oily, just an incredibly well rounded rum. Light yet long finish ends well. Literally nothing but good things to say, could sip all night, certainly one of my top 5 all time.
Simply the best so far , earlier years hard to find , worth the effort and although not cheap a must for a collection , DONT hesitate to buy if you really need to have a rum to bench mark against this is it
We sailed the Caribbean lslands for the last 6 years and discovered amazing old rums . Even if rum agricole is not my favourite, this one is « grandiose » !
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

First of all, I need to post a disclaimer/qualifier that I'm NOT a big fan of agricole rhums. I thought at best I'd rate this rhum a high '8'. But this is truly a fabulous agricole. Date on the cork says 1985 (is it really that old?)
Tastes like an agricole, but sweeter than most. Smells and tastes like it was aged in fine wine (though it says it was aged in cognac, which of course is also grape based). Also has notes of licorice, spice, sugar cane, oak, and prunes. I really enjoy this, and finally found a truly great agricole!
