Arcane Extraroma is a 12-year old solera rum from Mauritius made from pure cane sugar and aged in French oak barrels.

Not similar to the other rums what i taste before.
The smell is not so good in the beginning.
I tried it pure and after with ice.
The ice made it better.
It was intresting.

Aroma of maple syrup and beaches. Then the taste hits you and it turns into a sweet cinnamon apple cotton candy lychee strange delight. Tastes like an agricole and I like it. Would certainly buy again.

After a long thought I decided it was better than expected. It has a fruity, rather obvious banana smell and even taste. Sweetiness comes first, but does not stay long. I think I could enjoy it on some other occasion again. Based on tasting a 2cl sample.

Rhum très intéressant par ses notes fruitées, notamment sur la banane.

Na tento rum som sa veľmi tešil ale už po ovonani prišlo sklamanie. Vôňa veľmi sladká, cukríkovo-umelá. Chuť sladká ako keby som pil tekuté citrusovo-ovocné želé cukríky. Manželke chutil ale pre mňa sklamanie.

Meget subtile aromaer fra friskpressede sukkerrør. Noter i duften af blomster, sort peber og honning. Smagen er kompleks med sødmefulde, karamelagtige noter, let krydret og med hint af eksotisk frugt.

The smell is like the banana cream that you find in filled chocolate bars. The taste confirmed the smell. Not the typical agricole style because too sweet . A real sipper though...

Sugar cane aroma and maybe hazelnut, vanilla and caramel in body, slightly fruity, christmassy. No tail

Too much vanilla tones on the palate for me, not as great as what it was raved up to be. This is only after my first taste neat but a good rum does not need to grow on you it should be instant love for it. I will use it as a mixer rum and for the money we pay for a bottle in Aus $100 I would drink the Diplomatico Exclusiva Reserva over this any day. It probably didnt help that I had high expectations for this but it didnt live up to more than a 7 for me.
