Edwin Charley Enlightenment rum is part of the Appleton Estate's Proprietor’s Collection, which is a series of four rums with individually numbered hand-blown Venetian glass bottles.
The Enlightenment rum is produced from a blend of several aged pot stilled rums. The bottle features an engraving of a pot still, representing the traditional method of distilling rums in Jamacia.

Compared to the rest of the collection, this is a really nice sipping rum. Not as good as I expected it to be, but still worth the price. Wonderful bottle to boot!

Holidays spent at Jamaica tasting Rum and taking it easy. Edwin Charley Enlightenment has one of the nicest high end bottle and label design. Light golden color. Traditional dry oaky Appleton Estate driven flavors to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end.
