Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

Just had the one glass and clearly not enough to provide an informed review beyond I liked it. And I'm up to try some more. Nothing special on the nose but I'm pretty poor when it comes to aroma. A little Sharpe at first with a fairly warm raspy burn but soon gives way to the sweetness you either love or hate. Not exactly marmite but you can't sit on the fence. I have a sweet tooth so I'm a yes. Update after more. Yep I've had more and like it more. So upped to 8.

Specifieker ga je ze bijna niet vinden. Dit is een rum voor de echte 'vanillelover'. De goudbruine kleur komt goed tot zijn recht in de prachtige authentieke fles!
De vanillesmaak bevat een vleugje citrus en smaakt erg fris. Leuke rum, voor een select publiek.
Een leuke fles met autenthiek etiket.
Een rum die duidelijk gekruid is met vanille, maar net niet te veel. Met cola erbij smaakt de vanille wel heel hard door, je moet hier een liefhebber van zijn. Voor mij een dikke 7.5

In tegenstelling tot alle sociaal incapabele don papa voters verdient deze rum een hogere score. Opgepast, blijf van deze fles als je vanille niet kan appreciëren.

Belle bouteille. Beaucoup d'amis me l'avaient recommandé. Mais la déception fut grande. Ce rhum est beaucoup trop artificiel pour moi. J'aime les rhums doux, mais le goût de celui-ci ne me fait pas du tout penser à du rhum. Après 2 gorgées, je le trouve déjà écoeurant. Cet arôme d'orange est vraiment trop présent, je trouve le tout assez déséquilibré.

Don Papa je velice zvláštní rum. Po jeho konzumaci se vám odehraje v puse několik chuťových okamžiků. Sám nevím k čemu to přirovnat, ale musím říct, že se jednalo velice o osvěžující zážitek. Do letní pohody i zimní nepohody.

Great Rum for any occasion.ideal taste , little hints of vanilla and lots of sweetness. With the Don Papa you can easily convince everyone to drink rum

Also, dieses Getränk schmeck absolut nicht wie ein Rum, viel zu süß und ganz extrem nach Orangen.
Köpte dem i Biarritz. Fantastiskt god, mycket smaker med sötma.
