Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

Podle vůně sladký, podle chuti už tolik ne. Lepší průměr.
Also ich finde diesen spiced Rum nicht allzu schlecht, wenn man ihn nicht mit anderen "besseren" Rum direkt vergleichen kann.
Wenn man Ihn aber mit guten ehrlichen Rum vergleicht ist er für mich sehr künstlich und nur knappes Mittelfeld mit schönem Flaschen Design.
Geschmack: süsse, Vanillenote und fruchtig
Nase: naja... künstlich

Wer auf die süsse in Rum's steht, kann mal die von A.H.Riise probieren.

This one is sweet and fruity. Very dominant orange scent with a bit of vanilla and caramel. A good starter. This got me first but now feels to dominant and a a little to much liqour like. But if you start with it you will like it.
An overpowering vanilla taste and almost artificial smell. Not enjoyable and not worth the price. Only positive is the interesting looking bottle
Tropical fruit and vanilla flavors. Almost a tutti frutti bubblegum. For certain ocassions.

Velmi výrazná vůně, které dominuje vanilka. Chuť je nasládlá s výraznou chutí vanilky, která však působí uměle. To může hodně lidí odradit. Celkově je to však docela zajímavý kousek v krásné lahvi.
Le don papa n'est pas du rhum, et cela est du aux (trop) nombreuses manipulations qu'il a subit et aux rajouts de sucre/glycerol/vanilin. La regle est simple : " Ni le sucre, ni le glycerol, ni la vanilin ne peuvent passer dans l'alcool pendant la distillation " Le seul moyen d'avoir du sucre et de la vanille naturellement, c'est dans le fût ! Et au dela des 5g/L ce n'est plus le fût mais un rajout.
Ce produit n'est pas mauvais dans l'absolue, mais il ne devrait pas y être inscrit "RUM" mais "SPICED RUM" en tout cas en Europe ou la loie est très claire mais pas appliqué.
Je trouve que ce produit n'est absolument pas comparable a un vrai rhum sans ajout, en revanche on pourrai le comparer avec des produits similaires : angostura, diplomatico, arcane, kraken, Beach House Spiced...

Smells a lot like a vanilla and lemonade ice cream float.
