In the nose i find a hint of plums, then oak and sugarcane. The flavour has a slight balanced fire and its molasses, dried tropical fruits, a slight hint of the sugarcane juice but not grassy and herbal. Its not a heavy rum, its rather light in character.

Simply average, I mean not bad but not great either, better options available. Would I buy again, I don't think so.

A lot of questions to ask here. This is reasonable, the 15 year is good, the 20 is very good. Does it just need more time sitting in the barrel or is there something else? How is it made? I need to visit the factory!

Overall a very nice sipper but also nice to mix.

I get hints of plum, vanilla, raisin, oak, cherry and orange zest. Not a complex rum but very well balanced and sweet.

The flavours have this mouth watering sweetness yet it's not as sweet like Diplomatico. Overall a nice rum and one I will keep in regular rotation. I give it a solid 7 and it's a good intro to the Los Valientes family. The 15 and 20 do have more to offer and are a step up from the 10 year old.

Very raisiny, super sweet. I can’t find the hydrometer results, being generous I’d say they’d used Sherry casks. Very dark for 10yo solera.

Tastes really good, but I’ve got a tonne of questions about how they arrived at this.

Bottle looked nice, rum was medium brown color, but then the rum surprised me by its harsh/bitter taste, very strong nose and the somewhat "tequila" taste in the throat. I am more into sweet rums, that's why I rate here quite low.

A nice rum to sip, haven't tried the 15 year one yet so that is why I have chosen an 8. Smooth with a slight Smokey and caramel taste, slight burn as it hits your chest.
