Pusser's Red Label ABV42

Spicy and strong rum but equally well balanced and tasty. Great for mixing, baking and sipping.

A strong taste, not smooth or subtle. It is straight forward, might not be for everyone

Du rhum de Demerara dans l’assemblage. Pas très intéressant il faut lui préférer le gunpowder proof etiquette noire.
Le nez est sympa mais en bouche c’est moyen, grosse amertume qui gâche un peu le reste.

I didn't expected that much of the rum, but it's surprisingly rich in taste and not as harsh as I thought it would be. Have not tasted it yet with an ice cube, but straight it's certainly doable.

A nice mid-week sipper!

UPDATE: after some takes the taste suddenly changed to not really drinkable.. maybe something happened to the bottle...

Overall very harsh - strong barrel taste and a strong feel similar to cognac, which I find not particularly nice in a rum. Quite a disapointment in total, sadly.

I expected too much of Pusser's after reading many reviews. There is a lot to taste but there is little harmony in there and no refinement at all. Drinkable cheap rum in which, at only 6gpl, the sugar is too noticable and even a little dominant. I waited with writing this review till the bottle was almost gone, hoping for a revelation of sorts but the bottle ended like it started; boring, boring, boring. Not bad but nothing in Pusser's seduces me to try another bottle. Maybe the blue label or Gunpowder proof is bringing more but with this one my love ended before it could start.

Much more mellow than the blue label and lacks that punch the other one have. Better to sip than mix with i think if you`re gonna make tropical and tiki drinks since the flavor doesn`t stand up as good to the mixers as the blue label Pusser´s does.

Kupte si 54,5%, z něhož je tohle špatný odvar (dokonce ani ne jen zředěnina, ale opravdu odvar).
