Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
This is a good stand-alone drink to take as a shot to get your night started. It's not as harsh as regular captain and it taste like cherry.
This is a very unique rum. Smells a lot like cola; maybe even cherry cola. Taste is similar, but with a lot of spice; maybe pepper and allspice. Tastes more like a liqueur than a rum. Goes down easy at only 35%abv.
just a basic mix drink rum nothing special about it
This is definitely a cola-mixer rum. Adds some sweet molasses taste, and it's good when you want something a little different. Some bars use this as a rop shelf deink, which should warn you about the quality of their wells....
I've been told I have a strong stomach but Tattoo pushed me to my limits. Alone it leaves a horrible after taste. I don't know what it is it's just not that good but have found it to mix well with other flavors. So buyer beware!
I guess I don't have the palate a lot of rum drinkers have? I love Tattoo. To be fair, I use this mostly for cola and mixed drinks as opposed to sipping straight, but I actually enjoy sipping it, too, on the rocks. I personally don't think it's as bad as the ratings here suggest.
But as I said in another review... I'm still newish to rum, so I'm sure my ratings will change as I continue on my journey into the world of rum.
rums from Captain Morgan. But still not great.
Again rum for people who don't really drink rum.
Had this a long time ago and would not spend any money to try it again for rating purposes. I recall at the time not being sure what flavor they were going for here, I later read that it is supposed to be raspberry. Tasted to me sort of like flat rum and coke.
First taste was straight and I immediately noticed a cocoa flavor with the underlying flavor of cheap rum. Tried with Coke & lime which was just OK but there are far better choices to use in a Cuba Lebre. I bought only one mini bottle to try and that was enough, although I wondered if it might work in hot chocolate.
Other reviews are correct- caugh syrupy. Sweet with strange fruitiness. Reminded me more of a port wine. Still, a decent effort from the makers of robitussin.
Has a unique flavor, very fruity. If you're looking to slum it with some ultra-cheap rum this is a good choice. I couldn't stomach it straight or on the rocks, but was consumable with cola just fine.
nothing good too say. It was so strong and sweet that it wasnt drinkable to me. Cough syrup was a perfect discription.
Purely rum & coke in my mind. You can also use it in blended drinks for an interesting twist.
I would rather drink cough syrup. Try it straight and you will know what I am talking about. I can't give it away.
Nothing more or less to me. I have tried it mixed with cola and lime and it does not work for me. Straight as a shot yep it's good any other way, I would leave it.
drink it in the mix
Great name fruity flavor.
