Captain Morgan Private Stock

My buddy likes this tried it a few times, not my thing but will drink in a pinch, better than a lot of other things out there.

I had some friends over at my house, someone bought me this as a courtesy, actually a decent rum! For a Commercial over-rated brand, it's nice.

I was very surprised that I enjoyed a rum made by Captain Morgan. Was pleasantly surprised.

Very nice smooth rum I’ve had a bottle of this for a while now and it’s always a pleasure to bust out once and a while on the rocks !

As everyone has different tastes I find this one does not hit well with me, I find it too sweet and not what I am looking for in a sipping rum. Mind you it was given to me as a gift so I will be saving it for visitors.

I thought Private Stock will not be sweetened to all hell, but I was wrong. Well, I gave it a chance.

Meh. Average rum to my tastes. Pretty good as a mixer, but there are better, less expensive ones.

I bought this after reading a number of ratings here, and was not disappointed. It’s quite sweet with a VERY pronounced vanilla smell complimented by the spices, which make it quite lovely. This would be the ultimate, delicious spike for eggnog at Christmastime. There is not a huge amount of complexity here but it’s Smooth and tasty all the same. I prefer it mixed with Coke Zero, but I have sipped it too. Definitely worth trying.

This is a good sipping rum but you can tell the flavors are very artificial. I am a relatively new rum drinker and thought this was great until I tried better aged rums. Would recommend for the new drinker but probably would not buy again.

This is my favourite rum to drink on ice. Difficult to get so I only save it for special occasions!
Love the vanilla and caramel flavours, very smooth and doesn’t burn the throat!
