Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.
A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

Legendary rum for cuba libre. Mixed with coke it really is not bad. But you can spend you money better with choosing on of Havana products, I guess.

Once upon a time, I would have given this rum more credit and a higher rating. However, after sampling many much better rums over the years, I just can't give it any more than I did. Do I still drink it? Yes, but only rarely and in certain drinks. It's still acceptable for entertaining a group of drunks at a party, but I would recommend reaching for something better if it's for friends or family.

Rum and coke is not bad, but its just that. ok for drinks.
How can you hate on such a great price. Stock up on this bad boy here and you'd be amazed how much other stuff you can buy with your left over benjamins...(disclaimer...this does not apply to you richie riches) and yes, blast some Fiddy cent orraise a toast to one day Cuba's freedom and you got yourself a party.

Der erste Rum den ich in meinem Leben getrunken habe... mit 14! *schüttel* der ist so übel! Zum reinigen von Edelstahltheken super ansonsten nur für Wirkungstrinken geeignet. Genuss ist damit nicht möglich. Ohne Cola völlig untrinkbar.

Maybe one of the worst of the market right now... could be mixed with coke but that's it. I would say almost all the other rum are better !

The Ti punch with bacardi is reaaaally easy to drink. However, it's the only one usage of this rum which is not ridiculous. I don't think we can call it rum, it more a preparation for great Ti punch.
Not to use in macerations or ponch.
(My real note is 5, but I've to counter the ignorants fools who note him 8 or 9, like only an old rum should be)
