Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.
A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

There's really not much to this rum. Smells like a wet rock, but the taste includes a hint of sugarcane and vanilla. While it's certainly ok, there's a lot of better rums out there. You can easily drink this straight at 40%abv, but again there's a lot better.
Very mild but good in a few drinks or food when only a mild rum taste is desired. I keep this on hand for a few cocktails that require a blend of ingrediants including light Puerto Rican rum. I've not noticed the off or foul tastes other have described but I prefer a more flavorful rum than this.
A decent Rum for mixed drinks like Rum and Cokes or daiquiris. Nothing special, but will get the job done.
The standard rum-and-coke you get in clubs and venues. But it's just not a great taste.
Obviously not meant to consumed neat or on the rocks. But if you're looking to make a Rum & Coke why not. Available everywhere.
This is a must have in your collection for making the classic mojito.period!
Classic, but poor. It has its specific mold taste to it.
The most widespread white rum that is completely unspectacular. Drinkable with a high ratio of cola but thats just because there's so little flavour that you can't taste it.
Bacardi can do decent rum but this is for uneneducated masses.
For cocktails you can't go wrong.
Fra den tid hvor man ikke vidste bedre
Yes, Bacardi is probably the biggest rum brand in the world, and I understand that at one time it was pretty good. Now it is made 100,000 gallons at a time. Big fat heads cuts. It's all about money and nothing about quality. I give it 3 stars because it works alright as a mixer when you have a lot of other big flavors in the drink, but it does not taste good on it's own. When making a drink with Bacardi, I struggle to hide the flavors. I don't know one good bartender who is proud to use it in a drink.
Too harsh for a rum blanco and not much taste. Can pass in drink but again vodka does as well...
Great for large batch and frozen drinks when you don't need much flavor. Headache prone. Not for mixing although OK but definitely not for sipping.
After spreading my wings trying different rums I'm mad at myself for drinking Bacardi forever.
good for a party evening
