Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

There's really not much to this rum. Smells like a wet rock, but the taste includes a hint of sugarcane and vanilla. While it's certainly ok, there's a lot of better rums out there. You can easily drink this straight at 40%abv, but again there's a lot better.

I mean… is it good? Not really. But for the price? Yeah I guess. Look, you get exactly what you should expect. Nothing exceptional or even “good”. But it’s still better than some of the alternatives at the same price, somehow. Serviceable for cocktails, if you really have nothing better. Acceptable for shooting. Otherwise, you’d never catch me sipping on it.

Harsh taste, with quite the burn. Not an enjoyable rum. Doesn't even mix well, with one exception. Made a decent mojito, although better rums did make for better mojitos. I will be avoiding this one.

This is the first rum for many. Useful as a mixer only.

Ok, this more for mixed drinks, not for sipping. Taste is raw for strong personalities. Does not hurt in coctail.

Bacardi is okay with coke for just a nightcap . When I was young before I tried several rums this was good.

Bacardi in general is not top notch, but this white rum is simply not good...0% smooth and no other taste than pure alcool

This stuff doesn't even taste like rum. What does it taste like? I don't know, maybe gasoline? But you know you have to try it. It's so cheap, it has that legendary name, and you heard a bartender on YouTube say it's not so bad. So go ahead, get it out of your system. I'd never say I told you so.

Just use this for light color mix drinks like my blue hawaiian

Smells of alcohol and an earthy woody hint. Flavors of alcohol, spice with woody hints. Probably be used mostly as a mixer.

This is only for large quantities of frozen margaritas or Pina colada.
