Lovely dark amber in the glass with aromas of dark fruit and caramel sweetness. Sweet but not sickly and balanced nicely with the oaky dryness. Very nice.

A pure and classy rum expirience. It.s a light bodied smooth, slightly spicy rum with a warm and semidry lingering bourbon aftertaste. The sweetnees is present, but not overbearing, which makes this a balanced and classy, elegant rum.

Per the reviews on this site, I picked up a bottle for about 45 bucks. The initial feeling is smooth followed by a full tongue burn that nicely lingers after you are done with your sip. Nice mellow and balanced flavors. You can taste the bourbon notes. The first sip is really wonderful. A great bottle for those who appreciate aged rum.

Zafra is my favorite rum ever. It can be difficult to find but when you do find it, it’s worth the wait and cost. Very smooth with just the right amount of sweetness and very little burn. You won’t be disappointed in this rum and it makes a great gift, especially for bourbon drinkers who have never enjoyed a sipping rum.

This is an excellent sipping rum for anyone that enjoys rum but if you also like bourbon this will probably be an even more exceptional pour.

40%ABV Smells like sweet cherries and sweet sweet rum.
Oh, that’s nice. Sweet cherries, a bit of brandy, a bit of smoke. Lovely. Raisins buttery nuts. Delicious. Toasted banana. Time in the glass brings out butterscotch. A proper rum in my opinion. Probably the best I’ve had. Definitely reminds me of Abuelo Oloroso cask, only better. If you have the chance to try this one, do it!

Love it. Super smooth, sweet mellow molasses and vanilla. Creamy and fruity on the backend. For the price there isn't much that can match this. My new daily favorite.

Great rum but if you can swing it, go for the 30 year.

I was always skeptical of rums, or brands for that matter, that only had 1 or 2 expressions. Then factor in the price and I thought this was a gimmick rum like Zacapa 23. But when I found this rum for a seeming stupid low price(under $40) I decided “why not?” It definitely did not disappoint. It’s lighter bodied than I usually prefer for a sipper, but the nose/aroma is everything you could want and imagine when you think “run”. There’s a touch of sweetness but it only compliments and highlights the flavors and the oak is subtle for how long it’s supposedly aged. Not many options coming out of Panama but this one definitely seems to check all the boxes for me
