Zafra Master Reserve 21

I like this one. I’d keep it in the rotation. Complex flavors. Smooth.

...but I not sure of its age. Body is medium like a 12/15 year.

The aroma is very good, full-bodied, neither sweet nor dry. I think this is one of the best I have tasted, very rich on the tongue with many different flavors coming out. This will keep a spot in my bar.

Has been on my wishlist for a long time so was pleased to receive it for Xmas. As its 21 yrs old i poured a double dose into my Glencairn glass and left it for 25 mins on the bench.
On the nose i get caramel , molasses and wood , lots of wood.
This is a smooth , dry sipper that seems very well constructed. Tastes smokey with some leather , oak and plenty of Bourbon flavour which im not a great fan of..
Nice gentle burn in the mouth but no real burn in the throat.
There is some sweetness as well but this is definitely a bourbon /whisky lovers dream introduction into the world of aged rums..I enjoyed it more with an ice cube , overall a good alternative to overly sweetened rums

To be honest, Panamian rum was not so much my preference, such as Abuelo 12 year and Malecon 12 year. Too strong dry plune or raisin like flover for me.
However, I saw this rum rating and I got this Panamian rum Zafra 21 year.
This has rich and deeply taste of butter caramel, chocolate, sweet tart and cask flover.
I'm satisfied. Thank you Panama !

Pokud sáhnete po rumech z Panamy, očekávejte většinou silné kořeněné rumy. Ve vůni i chuti dominuje dřevo, v závěru cítím ořechy. V poměru cena/výkon ale mám jiné favority.

I really enjoyed this rum. It's smooth and less sweet. Definitely would always have this rum in my collection. Thanks to all the great reviews on this site. I had to buy it. Glad I did.

Nice coloring and aroma. Initial taste is sweet and, unfortunately, that sweetness lingers which frowns out the mix of flavors. Not my favorite but a nice sipping rum.

This rum has a strong and distinctive taste. It conjures images of barrels or rum on the high seas of the Caribbean with a sharp aftertaste. A must have for rum collectors

Very good, but does not really show its age. Not a great bargain, either. There is nothing wrong with it, and it is very much a Panamanian rum with a lower sweetness than a Barbados or even Nicaraguan rum, but I can't help wanting a bit more from it for the price.

Best by itself or with a little ice.
